Morgan Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center announced today that it has earned a five-star quality rating from the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the highest rating given.
The Five-Star Quality Rating System was developed to help consumers compare nursing homes with a scoring system based on three areas: health inspections, staffing and quality measures. Nursing homes with five stars are considered to have “much above average” quality.
“Achieving five stars is a remarkable distinction and reflects the hard work and dedication of our entire team,” said Rob Sechio, administrator at Morgan Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center. “It shows that when residents and families choose Morgan, they are choosing a center where quality is at the core of everything that we do.”
The 120-bed skilled nursing center – located at 80 Morgan Ave. in Johnston – features a tailored subacute rehabilitation program designed to help patients who are recovering from an illness or injury regain function and independence in a safe and supportive setting as well as an Alzheimer’s & Dementia Recreation Program.
Morgan is also certified by the American Heart Association for heart failure care and provides qualitative cardiac rehabilitation services. This certification recognizes the facility’s adherence to evidence-based standards in heart failure care, including program management, patient and caregiver education, care coordination, clinical management and quality improvement.
Morgan Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center provides Johnston and surrounding communities with the highest levels of subacute short-term and comprehensive long-term care in a compassionate and caring environment. Morgan is proudly serviced by Marquis Health Consulting Services, which provides administrative and consulting services to skilled nursing facilities and senior housing communities along the Eastern Seaboard.
