Morgan Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, a high-quality provider of skilled nursing and rehabilitation services, today announced the completion of a multimillion-dollar renovation and modernization project that has transformed the skilled nursing and rehabilitation center. Local elected officials, health care partners, business leaders and community members celebrated the milestone during a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Nov. 14.
Morgan now features a completely remodeled subacute care unit with 40 beds and an expansive rehab therapy gym featuring state-of-the-art technology and an Activities of Daily Living (ADL) suite. The gym supports progressive rehab services that help patients regain skills as they transition from hospital to home.
“This transformational renovation project allows Morgan Rehab to introduce a whole new level of subacute care, featuring the latest in rehabilitation technology and services in a warm, welcoming and modern environment,” said Sharon Donaghue, New England Division President of Marquis Health Consulting Services, which provides administrative and consulting services to Morgan Rehab. “Our entire care team looks forward to continuing our collaboration with local health care providers and to continuing our commitment to help patients safely transition to home.”
Located at 80 Morgan Ave. in Johnston, the 120-bed skilled nursing center has an experienced care team led by Administrator Rob Sechio along with Director of Nursing Crystal Brown, Medical Director Dr. Faizul Suhail, Director of Rehabilitation Dylan Jones and Admissions Director Maurizio Marchese.
The subacute wing features private and semi-private suites; rehab programming driven by physicians that specialize in physical medicine and rehabilitation; state-of-the-art equipment; and daily therapy. The rehab program is recognized for successfully reducing hospital readmissions and restoring physical function to individuals recovering from surgery or illness.
“The entire team at Morgan is dedicated to proactively addressing the rehabilitation needs of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgery, such as joint replacement, or cardiac, pulmonary, neurological and other acute medical conditions,” Sechio said. “Our goal is to ensure optimal healing – fully preparing you for your return home.”
